We are incredibly proud to celebrate Kingsmead College alumna Topaz Page-Green, who matriculated in 1994, and whose journey from a young girl walking onto campus for her very first day to a leader in social impact is truly inspiring.
Topaz attended Kingsmead from Grade 0 through to matric, forming lifelong friendships and experiencing the strong sense of connection and community that remains such a special part of the school. She often reflects on how those early years and the influence of dedicated teachers helped guide her towards a life of purpose.
As the founder of The Lunchbox Fund, Topaz has dedicated herself to addressing child hunger across South Africa. Since 2005, her organisation has provided daily nutritious meals to children in townships and rural communities, while also extending its reach into Mozambique and Lesotho, supporting children beyond our borders.
In 2025, The Lunchbox Fund reached 132,000 children across 2023 schools, delivering more than 24,6 million meals. With an average cost of just R4.15 per meal, the impact is both powerful and far-reaching.
