We welcomed the new year with open arms, ready to face every new opportunity with excitement and to tackle every challenge with courage. Here are our January 2024 highlights.

All eyes were on our matric class of 2023 as they waited for their matric results. Our teachers and students wished them well over this period, and we were absolutely thrilled to see that all of the hard work, focus and commitment that our girls put into their academics paid off: Kingsmead College achieved a 100% pass rate, with a total of 242 distinctions!

We are so proud of our class of 2023. Role models, leaders, big sisters and more – as we begin this new year, we are grateful that our Kingsmead girls have had such wonderful students to look up to, who remind us, courage always.

As our matric class eagerly awaited the release of results, our teachers had some words of wisdom, encouragement and admiration to share.

In the final hours before results were released, we reminded them that they’ve conquered so much – this is just the grand finale. We can’t wait to see your futures unfold.

The garden fairies have come to visit Grade 2 … our opening provocation to our new unit of inquiry called “Let the magic begin”.

Our Grade 9 students thrived at Camp Discovery! In an exciting escapade from routine, they embarked on a teambuilding camp from 24 – 26 January. Braving challenges outside their comfort zones, the girls not only strengthened their bonds but also forged new friendships.
