In August we celebrated a few special days, including Women’s Day and the end of our school term. Despite the holiday, our girls and teachers still kept busy, and made us proud with their achievements. Read more in our August 2024 highlights below.
Grandparents Day at Mornington was filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments! Grandparents and their granddaughters enjoyed a wonderful morning together, with fun activities and a delightful picnic.
It was a heartwarming event, leaving everyone with cherished memories. We are so grateful for our grandparents and know they left with hearts full of pride and joy.
In August, our preschoolers had an incredible experience as a fascinating animal show visited our school!
They were thrilled to meet a variety of interesting animals, including some amazing reptiles and even a unique creature called a tenrec.
The students were captivated by the opportunity to learn about these animals up close. It was a week filled with curiosity, wonderment, and awe.
Our Grade 2 students had a blast beading friendship keyrings to celebrate Friendship Day!
These creations are a beautiful reminder of the special bonds they share.
In August we wished all our students and staff a joyful end of term, with a send-off celebration!
Happy National Women’s Day!
On this special day, we celebrated the strength, resilience, and brilliance of all the girls of Kingsmead – past, present and future – and we honoured the remarkable women who have paved the way for us. Let us continue to inspire one another to dream big and reach our goals.
As DV Thompson, our founder, beautifully said, “The most important thing in life is to be true to yourself.” Let’s carry this message in our hearts as we forge our paths and support one another in our journeys.
At Kingsmead, we embrace our values of courage and respect, striving to uplift and empower each other. May we continue to lift each other up and create a future where every girl feels empowered to shine bright.
