Dyondzo Kwinika

Dyondzo Kwinika is a South African writer from Orlando West, Soweto. He won the inaugural DALRO Can Themba Merit Award for his short story Mr Duiker Sang the Blues, which appears in When Water Wants To: The DALRO Can Themba Merit Award Short Story Anthology. His work explores memory, family, and masculinity across generations, often rooted in township life. He recently participated in the Bergen International Literary Festival, appearing in readings and panels on writing, literary prizes, and creative practice. He is currently adapting Mr Duiker Sang the Blues for the stage with the Market Theatre.
