At Kingsmead we encourage participation in sport as part of promoting a positive attitude to a healthy lifestyle. Kingsmead is a competitive small school, achieving excellent results at Inter-School events.
We achieve this by using our wonderful sporting facilities to the fullest, combined with employing top-graded Coaches to complement the skills of our Physical Education Teachers.
We endeavour to provide an enjoyable and fulfilling sporting experience.
Two squash courts, a gymnasium, a 25m heated and floodlit pool with 3m and 1m diving boards and diving bubble, a 25m x 20m floodlit water polo pool, divers’ hot tub, five tennis courts/netball courts (one floodlit), a grass field for athletics, and a floodlit hockey astroturf.
Our girls have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports at a team or social level. A huge amount of team spirit is generated through these events. We encourage a positive competitive attitude, but do not lose sight of the values acquired along the way.
Team spirit, teamwork and service to others is encouraged.
